Retro Stylin’: High Heeled Shoes from Rachel Zoe’s Collection!

I admittedly find Rachel Zoe intriguing. Aside from making a name for herself as a stylist with great love for retro and vintage fashion, she is quite the character with her addiction to caffeine, passion for work, and her slightly neurotic yet enthusiastic catchphrases like, “Bananas!” or “I die!”

Hollywood super stylist Rachel Zoe

While I’m personally surprised about her launching her own collection in 2011 (I always thought she’d stay away from designing), her pieces are impressive and project her very personality and luxurious taste. Case in point: her two new shoes on Shopbop which exude both vintage glamour and regard for modern trends. Check them out!

Blake High Heel Sandals, $325

Black suede and cream-colored linen combine to form these two-tone, platform sandals. The shoes affix to your feet quite nicely, and in so many ways, as it features a buttoned ankle strap, an elastic instep strap, and a lace-up tie at the heel cap.

And this wouldn’t be a Rachel Zoe creation without over five inches of heels! Cute, classy, and definitely risqué!

Kayne Wedge Sandals, $375

Rachel Zoe does another suede number with these purple wedge sandals. I love the contrast of the stacked wood detail to the plush royal purple, placed ingeniously at the foot bed.

Also a fun feature, the extreme cutouts and tassels at the lace-up tie. It’s like a marriage of deco and the 1970s! It also comes in blush which is immediately the tamer and sweeter twin sister.

Cute Heels: Giuseppe Zanotti’s Patent Colorblock Platform Sandals

I’ve decided that we’re doing cute today, ladies. And it’s all thanks to these patent color block sandals from the divine mind of Giuseppe Zanotti!

Patent Colorblock Sandals, $695, Giuseppe Zanotti

I stumbled onto these platform sandals whilst sourcing for maxi dresses on Shopbop. I thought I’ve died and gone to heaven! They stand on over 5 inches of chunky heel (which is a Zanotti standard) and 2 inches of platform colored in delicious sherbet colors of yellow, blue, and pink. Can I say, ‘yum’?

The black, buckled ankle strap serves as a great contrast for the bright colors and is a tasteful element that makes the shoe sophisticated and not over the top. Oh if this doesn’t get you excited for the warmer weather then I don’t know what will.

Here are more bright and cute items on Shopbop which will pair off nicely with this Giuseppe Zanotti creation. Enjoy!

Ripe For the Picking: Boutique 9′s Spring Forecast on Shoes

2012 is dawning nice and bright, ladies. You may still be tucked in the bosom of winter but as you enjoy your hot drink and thick blankets, let me entertain you with the promise of a wonderful spring with the fresh and stunning styles of shoes from Boutique 9. If you haven’t seen the new releases, check them out at Shopbop and you’ll understand where all this perkiness is coming from. The brand opens the year with bright colors, light architectural design, and impressive texture that forecast a spring shoe bonanza like never before. Go on then, check them out!

Linya T Strap Wedge Sandals, $140

These T-strap sandals are modern heels with retro elements. It employs the mod influence of colorblocking while adding texture in its mix of satin, grosgrain, and leather panels. A faceted acrylic wedge heel finishes the paneled look.

Porsha Metal T Strap Sandals, $120

The black leather sandals elevate the gladiator sandals into a whole new style level. Instead of the usual beaded trimmings, it features metal plates at the T strap. It has a 1″ covered wedge heel for slight elevation and comfort.

Detective Suede High Heel Sandals, $140

Boutique 9 continues to make metal their thing, this time on a high heel sandal. These suede sandals also feature a metallic panel on its contrast T-strap and 4.5 inch metallic stiletto heel.

Piraya Multicolor T Strap Sandals, $78

My personal favorite among the bunch are these tri-color faux patent leather T-strap sandals. I love the mix of orange, yellow, and creme-de-menthe on what is beginning to look like spring’s next favorite sandals.

Phylicia High Heel Ankle Cuff Sandals, $140

For something a bit more post-modern, these nude, leather high-heel sandals projects a smart casual style with its attention to architectural details. It features an asymmetrical ankle cuff with Velcro® closure and a covered stiletto heel. Great for both work and daytime jaunts.

Amalia Espadrille Pumps, $130

And what is spring without espadrilles? These open-toed pumps feature the beloved material as a brilliant mix and finish to a stunning, midnight blue pair of suede platform shoes.

Linya T Strap Wedge Sandals in Dark Silver, $140

They’re just like the first Linya T-strap sandals only they come in full metallic leather. The dark silver makes it chic for the evening.
