1920s Sunday: High Heeled Leather Brogues by Bally!

Sundays always hold an especially charming vintage vibe. I’ve started out mine with a good cup of hot coffee with a good shot of cold milk. Then I played some Cole Porter for added romance. Perfect. And lounging around online, I didn’t expect to find the perfect pair of shoes to epitomize today. But here it is.

Oasis Perforated Leather Brogues,$850, Bally, Net-a-Porter

Bally’s Oasis leather brogues are classically chic and bit reminiscent of my cafe latte. Perforated white leather contrasts with glossy brown leather trim, epitomizing the crisp style of the 1920s. J’adore!

These shoes are begging to be worn with a dress. Net-a-Porter recommends something dark in the form of Bally’s navy pleated cotton-blend dress. For a bag, the chestnut leather PS1 satchel from Proenza Schouler matches the shoe’s vintage style well. Keep jewelry minimal and simple, like Aurelie Biderman’s Do Brazil gold-plated bracelet.

And can I say, it’s a really smart Sunday outfit that can go from day brunch to nighttime tea. These leather brogues are available on Net-a-Porter, ladies, and ready to give you that perfect, vintage-inspired weekend.

Pierre Hardy’s Color Block Canvas Wedge Sandals

It would seem that colorblock, platform sandals will be hot for spring this year. I’m following up our feature of those gorgeous Giuseppe Zanotti patent platform sandals with Pierre Hardy’s canvas wedge sandals, now declared by several fashion magazines as one of the top shoes to watch out for this spring.

Canvas Wedge Sandals, $695, Pierre Hardy

We found the pretty ladies on Net-a-Porter, featuring 6-inch high wedges and 2-inches of platform. Its wavy canvas straps are in brightly colored hues, including color of the year: tangerine tango!

While patent leather like on the sherbet-colored Zanotti sandals create such drama, I believe Hardy did a good job of using canvas which is much more practical and easier to maintain. It is a gorgeous pair of wedges that anybody would love to wear every single day.

In styling, Net-a-Porter recommends picking out any of the colors and incorporating them in your outfit. Cropped or capri pants will show them off nicely. Full colored pieces, simple in design like this white Chloé shirt, and the royal blue Phillip Lim cropped pants tastefully highlight the fun sandals.

Check out Net-a-Porter for more Pierre Hardy shoes!
