It’s like stepping into the 70′s, isn’t it? The orange-brown leather and chunky wooden platform and heel are very retro 70′s, and is reminiscent of the colorful and playful chunky and high platform shoes of that era. Plus, clogs are 70′s, too, so we basically have something very retro here.

So, I’m getting back to my original question. How do you like this new offering from the Chloe Sevigny and Opening Ceremony collaboration? Love it? Or not? Here’s a look at its different angles:

If you ask me, I would say that I definitely love it! It’s got a certain charm that is uniquely its own. It’s fun, funky, and fresh-looking. I love the combination of the shiny leather and smooth wood, which the creators perfectly got right for it’s so sleek. The added bow is a nice playful touch that keeps this shoe feminine and youthful. You can actually take the bow off as pictured above, in case you want to keep things a little bit formal. Overall, I would say that this Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Mary Jane Platform Clogs is a perfect combination of mary jane, clogs and platform pumps.

But first, I’d have to ask you whether you did a double take, too, when you first caught a glimpse of this Ash Flirt Kitten Heel Sneakers? Because I certainly did when my eyes first landed on it. I mean, I don’t quite know what to make of it. It’s a sneaker with a kitten heel—how quite unique is that? It’s actually my first time to see something like it, so I’m still reeling from all the surprise.

At any rate, it looks like your vintage Chuck Taylor sneakers, albeit some changes like the buckled straps and exposed outside zipper. It sports a distressed denim material, and a dirtied rubber toe cap and side wall. And of course, there is that kitten heel.

So, how do you feel about it? Do you love it? As I’ve mentioned, I’m really torn on this one. It looks cute, actually, and I think the kitten heel would be great for that added height. But I don’t think I’m digging the dirtied rubber toe cap and side wall. I mean, who’d like to have dirt on their shoes, right? Oh well, that might just be me.
