For the March 22nd event, Katie donned a black & white Stella McCartney outfit. She tempered and added playfulness to her menswear style via a pair of fun polka dot pumps by Dolce & Gabbana. A Jennifer Meyer Diamond Initial Necklace gave more glam to her red carpet look.

Katy Perry likes her with a bit of flamenco flavor, Natalie Portman prefers preppy, Rachel Bilson goes for a hippie vibe, while Taylor Swift is always the girly-girl.

Tiny, spread out or in huge circles – whichever you way you like them, polka dots always make you feel happy. Polka dots are fun and playful, and it’s so hard not to keep smiling while you’re wearing this pretty print.

Of course, polka dots are also associated with the 50s and the 60s so get your rockabilly on with polka dots! Dresses aren’t the only articles of clothing that’s been infected with polka dots – shoes too are in on the trend:
