Polka dots are sweeping the nation! Well, the Hollywood nation at least. A number of female celebrities have been seen sporting polka dots, each with their own take on the spotty print:

Katy Perry likes her with a bit of flamenco flavor, Natalie Portman prefers preppy, Rachel Bilson goes for a hippie vibe, while Taylor Swift is always the girly-girl.

Tiny, spread out or in huge circles – whichever you way you like them, polka dots always make you feel happy. Polka dots are fun and playful, and it’s so hard not to keep smiling while you’re wearing this pretty print.

Of course, polka dots are also associated with the 50s and the 60s so get your rockabilly on with polka dots! Dresses aren’t the only articles of clothing that’s been infected with polka dots – shoes too are in on the trend:

80s Leopard Print Back in Full Force

The leopard print trend in the 80s couldn’t have been in fashion at a better time. Leopard print connotes sensuality, authority and aggression, which are really what power dressing in the 80s was all about.

Do you think the leopard print trend now symbolizes the same things it did back in the 80s?

Rachel Bilson Dons Vintage T-straps for Charity Gala

Looks like actress Rachel Bilson had a love affair with T-straps early this year. We wrote about her ultra comfy T-strap flats last month (click here to read); and about the same time, she was also spotted in a vintage looking heeled pair while attending the Art of Elysium Black Tie Charity Gala.

Her dress, which had a lot of feathers on it, was also reminiscent of the Flapper Era, the same time T-straps appeared. Overall, the look was vintage-inspired, but not overdone. She kept it modern by cinching the dress with a leather belt, and wearing her hair down straight.

If you want to get this Rachel Bilson look, make it your own by wearing a more classic piece such as the Tahari number below, and pair it with some vintage looking T-strap pumps like the Nine West Bronagh:

Rachel Bilson Wears Her T-Strap Flats in the LA Winter Weather

The beauty with living in LA during winter is that you still get the sun without the heat. Of course it doesn’t snow but at least you can dress in light winter clothes. Just like Rachel Bilson here, spotted shopping for fruits and vegetables early this February, garbed in sweater and scarf, paired with jeans, T-strap flats, and sunglasses. Now, only in LA will you find people wearing such an ensemble (and perhaps also in Vegas).

Rachel definitely looks dressed down in the pictures, but still looking pretty. You know… the kind who looks good even without make-up. Now as for the shoes, THOSE I love.

They look so comfy. And the cut is quite unique. You will rarely find a pair of T-strap flats that only cover the front and heel of the foot. Most T-strap flats available in the market look like ballet flats with T-straps on them.

I tried looking for a similar pair but couldn’t find one. If you come across a style such as hers, please let know.

On another note, I came across these cute T-strap flats from Kenneth Cole, Sigerson Morrison, and Charlotte Ronson. Not the same cut, but these are quite slim and flat – very feminine and easy to wear. Plus, all three are on discount!
