And now, she returns in this era that fits her so well in a yet to be titled drama that coincides burlesque dancing and prostitution.

We see her in these Daily Mail pap shots, donning the flapper gear with, of course, the shoes to match. And they’re hard to miss, being pink and prettily bow’d up.

Cotillard has been spotted filming in Prospect Park, Brooklyn alongside Joaquin Phoenix. Jeremy Renner is also mentioned to appear in this film directed by James Gray. The movie is set to be released next year.

Elie Saab is the name behind the tutu-like dress and is the same one behind those gorgeous shoes. It’s from her Fall/Winter 2011-2012 collection and the shoes are all over her runway designs.

I found a similar looking pump sans the straps at Shopbop. These are from B Brian Atwood and are equally stunning, even red-carpet premiere worthy.

Aside from making a name for herself as a stylist with great love for retro and vintage fashion, she is quite the character with her addiction to caffeine, passion for work, and her slightly neurotic yet enthusiastic catchphrases like, “Bananas!” or “I die!”

While I’m personally surprised about her launching her own collection in 2011 (I always thought she’d stay away from designing), her pieces are impressive and project her very personality and luxurious taste. Case in point: her two new shoes on Shopbop which exude both vintage glamour and regard for modern trends. Check them out!

Black suede and cream-colored linen combine to form these two-tone, platform sandals. The shoes affix to your feet quite nicely, and in so many ways, as it features a buttoned ankle strap, an elastic instep strap, and a lace-up tie at the heel cap.

Yes, numerous party invitations to Halloween gatherings prompt this exciting and sometimes laborious dilemma. And a retro and vintage sleuth as yourself should come well represented, don’t you think? So how about going as the genius detective from England– Sherlock Holmes?

While this is also a good excuse for me to vent out my obsession with Victorian London, I figured doing a Sherlock Holmes-inspired outfit for us ladies would be a different path to take in doing a retro and vintage look. So I put together two outfits where you can use those vintage shoes and accessories you already have in your closet.

This first look centers around the flat or low-heeled Oxfords, a popular footwear during that era. You can do the black and white ones or something more monotone like this taupe one from Steven. In doing Sherlock Holmes, one cannot be without tweed as well. We put them in our pants and any ordinary white long-sleeved blouse will do as a great top. We like the Mandarin collar on this one  which goes down in pleats because it gives the illusion of being slightly formal. You need a trench coat to complete your look. It doesn’t have to be the classically cut, even a modern one will work.

The second look uses an Oxford bootie which is tremendously popular today. This one by Frye  comes in distressed leather and stacked heels. We matched this retro shoe with a long-sleeved dress with tweed skirt. Of course, you can do separates if you can’t find one like this. Instead of a coat, we chose a cape for this look, which is still a very Sherlock Holmes piece. This olive button up cape by Gryphon has named it after the detective himself.

In both looks, we accessorized with vintage-inspired cross body bags that have either brass or antiquated gold hardware for that vintage touch. Don’t forget to add Sherlock Holmes’ deerstalker hat and pipe, that’s his signature.

The Avengers star wore a mid-length lace sheath dress in this romantic blush color that complemented her pale complexion. Her hair was exceptional, styled in a waves that softly floated across her face. Bright red lipstick reiterated her retro look. For a more modern touch, she wore low-heeled, pointy glitter shoes from Dolce and Gabbana.

Doesn’t she look amazing? It’s definitely a look you’d want to bring to a big party, especially with homecoming around the corner.

Glitter shoes are everywhere these days, but if you want to do a classic look, you might want to shop for ones with pointy toes. Low heeled shoes or flats are more classic but not a must in doing retro glam. After all, you coordinate the heels with your outfit.

The platform pumps are made out of dyed calf hair and are finished with a leather piping. Lena Headey finished off her look with Wilfredo Rosado earrings and a black Judith Lieber clutch.
