Superga Shoes are Back – And They’re After Your Whole Family

A Superga store recently opened up in my hometown and though it looked like a regular sneaker store at first, the old style logo got me curious about the brand.

My curiosity took me to the Superga website where I found out that this Italian shoe brand has been around since 1913. They first made tennis shoes, expanded to making other shoe styles, and when they finally got around to inventing their now world-famous 2750 model, Superga went on to become THE shoe icon for classic European sportswear.

Did you wear Superga sneakers as a kid? This might be a nostalgia trip for you. Superga has been making a slow but steady comeback into the fashion market for the past year and have introduced these new, updated and more current designs of their classic 2750 shoe:

Diesel Neveau T-Strap Heels

Diesel Neveau T-strap Heels

The description at Overstock.com says that these heels are “a new spin on the saddle style”. But retro and vintage shoe lovers know they’re more than that: they’re a mix of the 20s, the 30s and the 50s all at once.

The t-strap mary jane style is the “20s” part of this heel. It was the shoe style back then and along with the flapper dress, is one of the best articles of clothing to represent the roaring 20s.

The “30s” can be seen in the spectator/reverse wingtip design on the toes. Both spectator shoes and these Diesel heels have the perforated leather design and in addition, these heels also have the two-tone look commonly seen on wingtip shoes.

Which brings us to the “50s” part of this heel. The 50s saw a lot of two-tone coloring on women’s shoes and these Diesel heels come in more than just one contrasting color. In fact, there are 4:
