Gorgeous Eco-Friendly and Vintage-Inspired Shoes from Naya

At first I thought that Naya Shoes has been in the shoe industry for some time because of their vintage-inspired collections. I was surprised to find out through their Facebook page that they were founded only in March 2010. It’s been barely 6 months since they’ve been in the game but there’s quite a buzz surrounding Naya Shoes. Wait, that’s an understatement; the response to Naya Shoes has been in fact just astounding:

And this is just part of it. This doesn’t even include other forms of media publicity like TV, fashion events, websites and blogs.

Naya Shoes is the first company-owned brand Brown Shoe Co. has launched in ten years. Other brands the company owns include heavyweights such as Buster Brown, Dr. Scholls and Via Spiga.

It’s easy to assume that Naya receives the huge publicity it gets because it’s backed by a billion-dollar company, but the shoes really are something. They’re beautifully crafted, designed to be comfortable, and are made of eco-friendly materials such as recycled fabrics, water-based glues and vegetable-tanned leathers and linings.

The tag line on their website says “Naya was born from the belief that shoes should be beautiful on your feet, soft on your step and gentle on the environment”, but you know what, let’s let the shoes speak for themselves.
