I don’t know what it is about the spring and summer seasons that makes me attracted to wedge heels. It must be how nice they look paired with shorts, skirts, and summer dresses. I’m also usually drawn to raffia wedges and woven platform espadrilles, but these leather ones from Jean Paul Gaultier are just too beautiful to ignore:

These look very 60s mod, don’t you think? The chunky white and black lines, the contrast trim, not to mention that cute circle buckle at the heel strap.

Even the soles on these are beautiful:

You can also see from this bottom view that the floral design on the wedge heel isn’t just a 2D print – it’s a 3D stitched-on leather appliqué. It’s details like these that make a beautiful shoe even more beautiful.
The price on these Jean Paul Gaultier Toe Ring Floral Wedges is on the high end at $999.00. If you’re going for the black and white look, these lower-priced alternatives might do it for you:
L.A.M.B. Zane, $260.00 (was $329.00)
Bernardo Avalon, $149.00 (check out the buckles!)
If you like the flower appliqué detail more, here are less expensive floral wedges:
Bandolino Kalliopa, $65.08 (was $74.95)
See by Chloe SB14082, $339.00
