What do you get when you cross a 1930s spectator shoe with a Victorian button boot?
You get the Flora 1023 from Bordello:
Interesting how the two different time periods work together in this shoe doesn’t it?
This mid-heel ankle boot may be mostly Victorian-inspired, but the wingtip toe with the perforated leather at the edges is definitely from the spectator shoe of the 30s and 40s. The end result is a surprisingly harmonious design that comes off as fun and fanciful.
Here are 3 other modern takes on the button boot of the 19th century:
The button boot mixed with a mary jane pump: JUMP Bliss, $132.00
The same color scheme as the Bordellos on these Luichiny Loreleis except more high fashion with the pointed toe and the high heel. $79.95.
Patent toes and heels on this knee-high button boot, the Buttons LA420 from Leg Avenue. $58.95.

To read more about Victorian button boots, here’s a previous post a really similar replica of 19th century high button boots. This other one is about a shoe company called Oak Tree Farms that still manufactures old-fashioned Western /Victorian vintage boots.
