Spotted: Platform T-Straps on Marion Cotillard at the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Like any other red carpet event, the 2010 SAG Awards held last January 23, Saturday, generated its own list of best and worst dressed celebrities.  French actress and academy award winner, Marion Cotillard, was one of the lucky ones to be classified in the finer group. Her outfit was a stunning short white one-shoulder dress that was fully beaded and decorated with feather accents on the lower part of the skirt.

Personally, I’m not crazy about the feathers, but she does look ‘old Hollywood’ glamorous in the dress. What really caught my attention however, were the platform T-strap sandals she wore with the dress.

Instead of pairing the dress with the usual classic (traditional) T-straps, Marion opted for a more contemporary pair with thick platforms and thick vertical front straps. The choice added a modern and edgy appeal to the vintage looking outfit. As a result, the whole get up was a fusion of old and new, a mix of then and now, but tastefully blended.
